to do this weekend, because I am incapable of planning or figuring anything out unless I make lists:

  • finish and mail my one outstanding Etsy order (biggest obstacle: Will The Printer Work)
  • write and mail any other postcards and/or letters to voters I plan to do for Espy’s runoff election Nov. 27, because if I wait any longer they’ll probably be late
  • leave more voicemails for legislators, I’m sure there’s something I need to yell at them about
  • do a WHOLE BUNCH of research on computer purchases I plan to make in the near future, because apparently that kind of thing is going to get more expensive soon thanks to our shithead president’s dipshit tariffs BUT ALSO Black Friday and Cyber Monday are coming up VERY SOON and it would be a very good idea to try to take advantage of those. specifically:
    • a cheap new desktop for my mom, because hers barely functions anymore and I want to chew off my own arm every time I have to use it for any kind of troubleshooting, and maybe there would be ways to decrudify it to get some more use out of it but honestly that sounds…much more difficult and time-consuming (although I imagine I’ll still be responsible for moving all her files, and that should be lots of fun)
    • upgrades for my desktop, which at this point means basically everything except the case, sound card, and (I hope) hard drive. do I know what I’m doing? no!!! do I even know the best place to buy parts? also no because when I did this six years ago I ordered everything from Newegg and I think I had some kind of free trial of their prime membership or whatever that meant shipping was free, and I have no idea what their shipping is like now
    • a new netbook, because mine is probably as old as my desktop and significantly less functional
  • make examples for at least a few other Etsy items I’d like to have available before the holidays, which ideally I would’ve done a while ago but I was focusing on the election
  • try to adjust the new harness I bought for Hazy, because one of Scully’s fits but her back in particular is the same color as his was and that uh. doesn’t feel great. researching/buying a different harness is also an option
  • try to do some training at home? I have no idea what I’m doing though so I should just sign up for actual training. also, get final adoption paperwork I guess, not sure what’s involved in that
  • maybe bring Hazy to my sister’s place so she can meet and play with another dog? depends on various schedules, obviously
  • TYPE. UP. MY. DAMN. NOTEBOOKS. actually getting everything out of the “typed up from notebooks” documents and into fic documents would also be a REAL GOOD IDEA because then I could actually figure out, you know, where I’m at with my current WIPs and which one I should focus trying to finish for November
  • submit pet insurance claims for Scully’s last few visits; this can probably wait a bit longer but I really shouldn’t wait much more if, you know, I want to be reimbursed, which I very much do
  • NoiseTrade downloads, because right now I have a bunch open in tabs and my computer hates that
  • leave some very belated comments on fic
  • low priority but should happen at some point: repost recent fics on FFN

…I feel like I’m forgetting something and this is probably already not super realistic, especially considering it’s already 12:30 >_<

I need to make a few decisions soon today (mostly about how I want to spend my weekend, but also I need to get Hazy’s final paperwork and the rescue group was like “so you’ve decided to keep her for sure?”) and my brain is just like… hmmm. no, Don’t Like This, decisions bad, too many options too much responsibility

Red Dead Redemption 2 Drinking Game

lucien-lachance:

Grab your whiskey or water if you’re a designated driver like me and take a shot when

  • something knocks you off your horse
  • you do something stupid to get knocked off your horse
  • Arthur has a coughing jag
  • someone tells Arthur he’s a good man…
  • …and then Arthur tells them he isn’t a good man
  • “SONS OF BITCHES”
  • “BASTARDS”
  • you accidentally SLAM open a door
  • Uncle is drunk in camp
  • Reverend Swanson is drunk in camp
  • a robbery fails or turns out to be a trap
  • the law catches you looting
  • your horse poops
  • Dutch reminds everyone that hE hAs A pLaN
  • …or that the gang just needs ONE.  MORE.  SCORE.
  • Mary says, “Oh, Arthur…”
  • Micah starts some unnecessary and/or divisive shit in the gang
  • Sadie’s voice cracks
  • Arthur sketches some sort of critter in his journal
  • “O’DRISCOLLS”
  • some weird-ass Stranger asks Arthur to do something strange
  • Arthur insists he’s fine when he is clearly Not Fine

I scrolled through this too quick and definitely read “the law catches you pooping,” which would probably be a very different game

The two items I sent out for @marveltrumpshate: a Bi Pride Funko Cap keychain for @secondalto, I think, and a Bi Pride Cap necklace for a buyer whose Tumblr name I don’t know. I have the shields (available as necklaces or keychains) at my Etsy shop in pretty much any Pride variety, and I plan to put up similar Pride items soon; the majority of proceeds from the purchase of any Pride item goes toward my monthly Trevor Project donation.

on one hand, I could feel guilty about the fact that I did go to Planet Fitness today but just used the massage chair twice in a row and never actually did any exercising

on the other, something got more fucked up than usual with my neck in the past several days, resulting in the worst headache I’ve had in a long time, so maybe I should chill out and not feel guilty about that

EDDIE REDMAYNE SAID HE THINKS NEWT IS ON THE AUTISTIC SPECTRUM!!!! BUT UNDIAGNOSED BECAUSE ITS THE 20’s/30’s. IT’S MADE ME SO HAPPY THAT ONE OF MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS EVER COULD BE AUTISTIC (I had considered he might be but I was too nervous to say it before) AND I’M AUTISTIC AND JUST IT’S MADE MY DAY THAT EDDIE REDMAYNE THINKS THIS!!!!! 😊😊😊😊

When I watched the first movie, I turned to my husband and said, ‘He acts just like me! That never happens!’ I didn’t even know I was autistic yet. I feel so validated knowing that this was intentional, at least on the actor’s part. Eddie does a great job representing autism in a positive, unstereotyped way.

I have no interest in watching the sequel because I hear it’s a hot mess, but one of the things I loved about Newt was—just like me, he avoids making eye contact, and it’s not presented as something that makes him weird or unlikable. He’s the hero and he doesn’t like to make eye contact and it’s just part of who he is. I don’t know that I’m on the autism spectrum—never been diagnosed, although I did have a therapist suggest it—but a lot of things I read on Tumblr about autism sound very familiar to me, and it’s just…really nice to see something kind of unusual in myself represented onscreen without judgment.
