My cosplay for the last half of ECCC: Avengers Academy Loki in all her disdainful glory, complete with staff (a two-piece pool cue, cut down and repainted, because that was the only good way to make it fit in a suitcase). Basically nobody recognized this one, but I’m still happy with how it came out.

ECCC is all done and I’m exhausted but also sad 😦

also the combination of “I bought too many things and I don’t want to add it all up” buyer’s remorse with FOMO-fueled “I didn’t buy a bunch of great stuff and what if I missed The Perfect Thing” buyer’s remorse is real weird

and I’m pretty sure there were more people I wanted to meet but I am intensely awkward and also not great at coordinating things

on the plus side, now I have a good motivation to rearrange most of the posters on my walls

last day of con 😦

I think I’ve seen everything in Artist Alley, more or less, which in practice means I have a shit-ton of business cards that I don’t have time yet to look through and even if I did I probably wouldn’t remember which ones corresponded to which art I wanted to go back for because I couldn’t decide at the time…and I definitely haven’t seen everything on the show floor, where there is more art and a frankly overwhelming array of 1) handmade/unique or at least hard-to-find-elsewhere merch and assorted stuff, 2) stuff that can be bought elsewhere but is cheaper here because the vendor has a deal going, it’s being sold loose, or it’s a similar price to online but I’m saving on shipping, and 3) bog-standard collectibles that are cheaper anywhere else. And of course it’s impossible to tell which category a particular booth falls into without taking at least a couple minutes to browse, which means I need to look at everything. aaaaaaugh.
